We welcome businesses and organizations from any region who wish to build relationships and conduct business in West Hartford. Our members are geographically located in over 40 towns and 5 states that are NOT West Hartford, CT.
We are not an entity of Town government. We are an independent not-for-profit organization, unaffiliated with any government body. We work closely with the Town employees and elected officials to best serve the needs of our business community and the residents. We do not receive tax-payer funds; we rely on membership dues and other private revenue sources to finance our mission.
At the intersection of business and community, non-profits are vital to our mission to encourage the development of business and enhance the quality of life in the West Hartford community. Dozens of our members are non-profit. From large, national organizations to solo individuals making a positive impact in our community, we have a range of benefits to support non-profits.
There is more to our organization than networking events, although with more than 100 each year there is most likely something that fits into your busy schedule. We offer sponsorship and marketing opportunities, educational programs, advocacy, referral partnerships, access to resources, building credibility, and more. And by supporting the West Hartford Chamber, you are contributing to the overall vitality of our economy, ensuring West Hartford remains a thriving town.
There are no requirements for donations. We welcome those given freely, but would never demand unpaid work from the businesses and organizations we exist to support.
Our dues are structured as a fair-share model. Businesses are members of the Chamber, and employees utilize the benefits. Any employee of a member business is welcome to access our resources. Therefore, the more employees an organization has, the more we ask them to contribute. A full breakdown of tiers can be found on our Membership Application
We encourage our members to get involved with the committees. We have several active committees, each with a dedicated focus and programming. It’s a tremendous opportunity to deepen connections with fellow committee members, support the Chamber and its initiatives, and champion the missions that matter most to you.
